Venezia Bellissimo

Wow! What a place to go for the weekend. It’s almost like you’re there, back in Renaissance. The whole city is like a work of art, everywhere you look. It’s truly amazing. One thing is, there is so much to see but not much to do. This is perfectly fine for a weekend away. You could sit on the side of the Grand Canal for hours on end and never get bored watching the world go by. You can loose your self in the myriads of small windy streets that make there way all over the island of Venice. Stop at hundreds of the tiny café bars that line the streets, or just stuff your belly full of wine, pasta and yummy pizza. This is Venice. The locals were extremely friendly which can’t be said about the hoards and HOARDS of tourist pushing past you. It’s almost overwhelming the amount of tourists but for some reason this didn’t bother us, we were in Venice! It cast a spell on us. It truly is a beautiful city that everyone must experience once in their lifetime. The bridge right near where we stayed at Ferrovia and a grand church next doorTwo gondolas waiting for their rides
Looking down towards Santa Maria della SaluteA small look into Venetian lifeThe lions guarding the military barracksL & S taking in St. Mark's Square with all the pigeon's
The Bridge of Sighs. It was named for the condemned prisoners who crossed it to meet their executioners.
