I bought a fisheye camera a few weeks ago and have been having fun taking silly pics. as well as wondering what my pictures will turn out to look like because I'm using a proper film. These aren't very good quality scans but fun all the same!

The Hamptons

At the moment I am living the life of leisure. We only have a few weeks till we leave on our big road trip so no need for work. Jasmine, an old friend of mine from home has just moved over so as soon as the sun come out we made the most of the nice weather and headed down the Thames to Hampton Court Palace. The famous home of King Henry VIII, and to a lesser extent, a lot of other royals. I was quite blown away at how beautifully kept the gardens and grounds were. The pond gardens were like a rainbow of colours! The palace itself is also very spectacular.Jaz and I down at Richmond about to head off to the PalaceYou would not think this is London! Some areas of the Thames are picture postcard.Hampton Court Palace Spring!!60 Acres of perfectly manicured gardensOne of the pond gardens. Amazing display of color.

Calm Before The Storm

On Sunday afternoon Dan, Lachie and I went for a little bike ride along the river just before, we realised, a massive storm hit Richmond. Here's a few nice pics of Richmond, before the storm... It seems the angel in the window gets more sunshine then any of us...

Country Life

It was long over due to head back to welly Cymru, Aberhafesp.. in English that is Wales. Flash backs of the car trip home last time brought some unwelcome memory's but squishing around in all that mud and not doing much at all was what we were after.
It was the same awesome foursome from the France road trip a few weeks ago plus papa Waldron who met us at the cottage on Friday night.
It was still freezing cold in Wales and it always seems to be raining but we had bursts of sunshine that really made it feel a comfy 5 or so degrees....with expected snow and hail. All the more fun!
We spent most of the weekend going for nice walks in the surrounding hills, hassling the local donkeys in the paddock next door and eating yummy roasts, cheese and wine.
4 + 1 - Carly and her dad Mike showed us around the local hills, more like marshes with all the rain

Snugged up as usual

A lone tree on a hill

Tormenting the donkeys with a carrot tied on some string to a stick.

Carly thought it was the funniest thing she had ever seen!!!!!

Dan's off and away! They weren't the friendliest donkeys around

What's Wales without lots and lots of sheep?

...and a shaggerty haired person

Quintessential Wales, green rolling hills...

Carly showing some love to the camera

How nice is this! Toasting by the fire, having good chats and enjoying life in the countryTom the neighbour, and has been for the last 85 years. Can you believe he has never been further than 20miles from his house. A real character...

What a morning! It was so beautiful with the snow everywhere

Back to city life....
