Hung Over

So after the party we didn't do much all day. I forgot to mention my cousin Chris is staying with us for a few days before he fly's home this week. We finally made it outside around 4pm and went to watch the sunset at Richmond Hill with a few bevy's. Very Nice. This is just up our street overlooking the river. Did I mention we live in a great part of London?

We had a Halloween/house warming party on Saturday night. We rounded up all our fellow Londoners and partied the night away in our new place. The theme was Goth, So black on black with black was the order of the day and everyone did a fabulous job of dressing up. It was a great night!

brrrrrr....it's getting chilly!

avebury

salisbury cathedral
at stonehenge...
autumn is really here! brrr! chilly winds as we go visit one of the chalk horses
you can sort of see the shape of the horse in front of lachie
this past weekend lachie and i had such a fantastic time. to put it in short:
  • sat morning drove to salisbury area to visit and stay with the really lovely, kind, generous dover family.
  • visited a white chalk horse in the hills
  • stone henge
  • salisbury cathedral
  • 13th century pubs
  • had a feast for dinner at dovers house and got to know them a bit better
  • had a feast for breakfast and left around 11am for more chalk horses and avebury (a town with lots of massive stones circled around the it) (amazing! rainy! cold!)
  • LOVED driving in our little wren!
  • LOVED the old old quaint pubs and thatched roofs
  • LOVED having our little car to get us all around the country side!

now it's back to another week of work and searching for work and more places to visit!

this weekend coming we are having a 'gothic' themed halloween party/house warming which we are really excited about. and many more trips coming up in the next few months. (the weekend after we are going to brussels for a few days!)

the past few days it's been raining and today it's really chilly. i think it's all down hill from here. bring it on! it means-cosy meals and pubs with roaring fires, skiing (in france for xmas), snuggling up, lots of tea! fun!

I'm bored

This is who I work for, Computacenter. Its a bit boring at the moment, I'm still new and haven't really been given anything directly to do or look after, I'm just helping people out. I have run out of things to look up on the net, can anyone help me? This is where is work. Its a good location and its 5 minutes to Waterloo station. I was offered to go and work onsite for Barclays Bank, which would be awesome but its at Canary Wharf, and that's about 1hr 30min travel time door to door, which is far too long. So I had to knock it back. Its currently 45minutes door to door on the overland train. The tube is a no no.

home....

to the left is the stairs leading to front door. to the right is the kitchen. behind me is the living room. second door on left is bathroom. second door on right is ali's room and last door on right is lachie and my room.
kitchen. lots of veggies and herbs. we are eating really well!
our cosy room looks out over the storage area and LOTS of trees there are so many parks around us! beautiful! all the furniture was there.
up the stairs to enter our home
front door #6. and our bike that we have fixed up
this is where we live! on the right hand side. all our main windows are on the opposite side (upstairs, it's a coach house remember) through the drive is all old stables that are now storage so not used very much
you can see our white little wren (car) on the right and the hallway window with a lovely plant in it and the bathroom window
living room.
you can see the warm woolly quilt mum made for us out of old woolen jumpers.
perfect for those coooooooold nights in the middle of winter
the little stereo we scored from V festival
the tv for £20
and all our lonely planets on the book shelf
we honestly don't normally look like this
this was holly and i made up for a 'chav' party
if you don't know what a chav is, watch 'ali g' and 'little britain'
funny!
i like to sit in a chair and look out this window where i see squirrels...squirrelling around...
a lovely night at home
just the two of us
yummy food, beers and a dvd

our lovely life

hello!
sorry for the lack of updates! we are now settling into life in london. we were just saying last night that everything is just SO great. everything has worked out really well. we have a car, a cool bike that i just bought a basket and bell for (which i've been LOVING riding around richmond park!) we got a cheap tv on gumtree.com, we have a cute little home, lots of upcoming trips. this weekend we are going to a family friend's house, cathy dover, she lives near stonehenge. we also want to go to a little town which chris and ian highly recommended called 'rye'. and we CAN with our little fanger. we've named her 'wren'.
last weekend we went to a party where the theme was 'chavs'. i've been trying to update photos but it doesn't seem to want to work today so keep your eyes peeled for them! very funny/feral.
lachies settled into his job quite well. he's still getting used to train travel each day...i got a frustrated message this morning from him because we live on the other side of the station and there are gates that open and shut ALOT in the mornings and evening. today they didn't open the whole time he was standing there till after his train left. oh well.
me? i was doing temp work at MAC cosmetics for a week and a half which ended up being really stressful (i was the office dog) so now i'm working on getting contract work which pays alot better...coming along...
anyhoo about to go for another ride in richmond park with holly. making the most of this weather. it's getting cooler and windy and is a bit rainy today. but with this sort of weather i find i just appreciate being outside at any chance i get.
ciao!

My new car

This is my new run around. I just bought it today for £540, that's about $1200 (aus), which is not bad at all! Its a 1995 Ford Fiesta Lx Diesel, I think it does about 50 MPG and its in great nic. My first Diesel....I bought it mainly to get out of London on the weekends and go and explore the countyside, Wales, Scotland etc

So it should be a fun little driver. We will keep you updated on our adventures!

P.S : No disrespect to my lovely Corolla in the garage and my old Evo

travelling has made us wierd!

Great times to come at Palmy

Hello everyone,
This would have to be my second post ever! Sally usually updates the blog but I am so stoked that mum bought a place at palmy I had to put up a post. We have been looking for quite a while now and one came up just last week and now its ours! 71 Florida Rd, and its 100metres walk to the surf club! And I love that its an 'original' beach house. I know we can't enjoy it this summer but there's many more great summers to come.

On another note, we moved into our fabulous place yesterday. I am really happy about it, but still no job at the moment. Thanks to Alio's parents who helped move all our stuff. Anywho, enjoy the pics and speak soon. Lac
