in one week we will be in malta. yay! it feels like we have been back in london forever but turns out its only been 5 days. 5 busy days at that. we had a ticket booked for sunday at V festival, but we had messages from friends saying that we could come on saturday and be snuck in. this turned out perfect as one person i always said i wanted to see when i come to london is 'fat boy slim' and he was the last act of the night. we made it in safetly and just in time. the festival was absolutly rocking. 150,000 people! my sister, brother and a bunch of friends were camping so we would hang out with them until someone we wanted to see came on (faithless, groove armada) we slept in the combi. it rained a bit, was a bit sunny but cool. perfect temperature. we couldn't get a ride home on sunday night so we stayed until monday morning which was the best thing ever as these festival/party goers are a bunch of CONSUMERS! INSANE! they would go out before the festival, buy massive tents, mattresses, wellies, sleeping bags, rain jackets, stereos, boxes of food, cases of beer, camping chairs. the WHOLE lot and then just LEAVE it all there when they leave. so monday morning turned into a camping gear spree. lachie and i are COMPLETLY stocked for camping now. we have a perfect, BRAND NEW tent, wellies, rain jackets, lachie found a mobile phone, a stereo! we are SET! very happy about that.
today we are still recovering. lachie lost his voice. he made friends with these two cute young boys (12yrs &14yrs old) who were on their own and went about talking/yelling with them while the music was blaring. today we were dreaming about our own beds. our own space. we are sleeping on my sisters living room floor. my parents are still here but they are leaving on saturday. we are sooo excited about going to malta and gozo! we are going with my pal ali for a week. still, can't promise we will be settling down after that. since we have been travelling our list has gotten HUGE of all the places we want to go. we are now thinking brussels and paris (it's our 4 year anniversary next month)
today we went wandering around notting hill/portobelo road. looking out for places to live (notting hill? yeah dream on!). talking about what we want to do etc.
watch this space!
